Alts: Driving Me Crazy Since Forever

I always had a hard time with alts. Why? Because people you know can hide behind those alts and pretend to be someone you never met. It really feels like a "Big Brother is watching you" kind of situation when there's someone who just met and said person acts like he's known you forever. True, not everybody has an alt, but when you have the impression that someone is the alt of someone you know but that he's not confirming anything, just being super friendly.

I mean, someone you barely met at one RP (WoH) won't bump into you in another RP (CD) and say in IM "No ways lol. Sorries, never thought I'd run into you here". All I ever said was "Sorry, was afk" and i doubt that anyone can make the interpretation that I'm not at all the CD type with just that sentence. I mean, I bumped into a CD girl over at the poop hunt and all she said "hey Cath. Fancy seeing you here...". Even the two most sociable person I know wouldn't meet someone and act as thought they have known him/her forever.

I just hate it when I don't get something about someone... maybe I've actually managed to convince myself that I scare guys away (I scared another away according to Jadz... the creepy huff guy) and that any guy that is nice with me MUST be a guy I already know.

Oh well, if Jadz does find out who the guy in question really is, then I'll probably be in the first to know since I made a deal with her. She finds out, I play the 12th.

Until then, I think I'm gonna shop to stop thinking about alts... they drive me nuts. Good thing you can't do that in RL.
