The meaning of "lol" and see ya around Jadz

So, yesterday, while talking to the monkey before heading to bed, I something hit me: lol doesn't always mean you are laughing, at least in my case. I usually use it when I don't know what to say regarding something, except when it's something sad in which case I'll use "I see..." or "mhmm...", or when it's just making me smirk her chuckle lightly. If something makes me laugh I'll use "lol XD", lmao and roflmao. Maybe it's a generation thing (meaning older people don't understand what the hell I'm talking about), but when I was in high school and hanging with my friends, we were saying (yes, saying, not typing) "Lol" when we were finding something kinda funny but not enough to make us laugh. Thing is, when I first started using MSN (long time ago), I had no idea what lol meant. All I knew was that my friends were using it when something was kinda funny or really funny. Lol meant alot of things at that time and it still does today. Hence why when one of my SL friends says "lol", I don't go off thinking I'm actually funny and I hope they don't think I'm some sort of hyena since I use "lol" alot.

Now, second part of this post is to say "see ya around" to the girl I considered my SL best friend for a very long time. Of course, I understand that RL is more important than SL, but it's really gonna be weird to not have Jadz around, traumatizing me or just make me laugh. I could be extremely random with her. So... Jody isn't really on when I am (but she's on Plurk and FB)... Jadz is kinda gone (she might come back, who knows)... that leaves me with the monkey... *looks around* JODY!!!
