My first review!!!

So, got a notecard earlier from a shop owner who also happens to be a friend of mine (even if we usually bug each other constantly). He recently did a YouTube tv and added some freebies in his store. I therefore decided to reviewthe TV and the freebies.

Let's start with the freebies. These are mainly aimed for guys, but girls can also find some things. The quality is good, except maybe for the shoes (for guys) that are simply ok. If you are starting in SL, these shoes are good and free. But if you already bought shoes, it is not necessary to take
these. You can also buy the keyblade of "Kingdom Heart" (no idea what's the use of it, but if you like the video game, it's free and looks great). The hair, again for guys, is just weird... perfect for
Halloween. You can get two unisex t-shirts and one girl top. There is one stuff that, I must admit, made me squeel: the Jack Skellington avatar. It looks real and it's CUTE! So, just for that avatar,
 go to X'ed (his store).

Now, the YouTube TV. Everybody who went on xstreet SL (formerly known as SLX) probably noticed that the #1 selling product is the NHC YouTube TV. So, to make a good review, I decided to go see the #1 TV and compare, since I saw the evolution of my friend's TV (I'm one of the foolproof tester). So, on I went to the NHC showroom. I clicked on a TV to see the menu. A bit complicated to understand how it works at first. In fact, i was a bit lost when I was staring at it. You can watch a full movie if you want (I don't know how you can set the movie of your choice in
it), you can watch SLCN.TV and of course, you can watch video on YouTube. So, i click on
"Search" and I type "Louis-José Houde" as I know it doesn't work if I type that with X'ed TV(only normal letters and numbers will work with that TV). It worked! So, positive point there. On the other hand, getting the search results on that TV is kinda weird. On X'ed TV, it's a touch screen and you get the different results on the TV represented by their thumbnail and title under it.
Easier to understand as far as I'm concern. On the NHC TV, it's not to hard, but not as simple. The results are on the menu and you see only one result at a time. Once you found the vid you want, you click on "Play Movie".

X'ed TV: type what you are looking for, one click (if on the first page of the results [9 results per page])
NHC TV: Type, click next if not #1 result, click on "Play Movie" (once you found the vid you were looking for)

Two thing that NHC TV doesn't but that the X'ed on has is the "Slideshow" option and the "Watch URL" option. The slideshow is mainly that you put pictures in the tv and it will do a rotation WITH effects. The "Watch URL" is just that the TV asks you for the URL of the video you want to watch and the video will play right away, you don't need to click on anything. Of course, in that case, you need to know what you want to watch, but really useful.

You can add favorites in both TVs. In the NHC one, you click on "Chat tv" and then on "Add URL". For the X'ed TV, it's not really clear how you can add favorites but i know they will show up when you click "Video". If I look in Content, there is a notecard titled "Video". So I guess that's where you put your favorites.

Both TV have radio stations in them and they offer almost the same stations.

Now, the most important part... The appearance!!! The NHC TV is black and way too big (the smallest version would still go through my ceiling) while the X'ed one is white and you can choose the color of the screen when it's off (black, white or blue). It's shape reminds me of my iMac computer which I think looks nice while the NHC looks like a normal big TV.

I'm not here to tell you which TV you should buy. I prefer the X'ed one as i find it more simple to use and it looks nicer (also, it doesn't go through my ceiling).

Prices:
In-world: X'ed: 500L$     NHC: 625L$
SLX:  NHC: 250L$    X'ed: 249L$

REMEMBER: the TVs will only work if you have rights on the land. If you don't the television WON'T WORK. It is not the fault of the creators but simply how Second Life works.
