Hidding and exploring

Didn't faced Prof H yet... I'm sure he wants to expell me, so I'm hiding somewhere and only come out if I have to meet someone regarding some evil overlord or to go to class. After, Jadz told me something that made me choke on the milk I wasn't drinking yet. She got herself a boyfriend! Anti-cootie girl has a boyfriend! Now I have to hide from her after I just told this publicly. Best part is who her boyfriend is... Tyler, the guy I danced with on Saturday. He's going to get a hand in his face... if I'm not expelled before I find him. Oh well, I'm not mad at Jadz. How could I? Anyway, I just hope she won't act all mushy around him... mmm, doubt she will. She wasn't even thinking of having a boyfriend, he's the one who asked her. Enough of that love story (he even kissed her on the lips! Is he going to snog her tomorrow? Cootie alert!), it's time for me to talk to you about lil me.

After all, this blog is not named "The love life of my friends because mine is absent". Ugh, just realized I won't have any dance partner for Saturday's Raven rave. Even tho I think trouble loves me, it's hard to dance with a concept. I'll need to ask Anq for tips on how to look irresistable (did I spelled that right?). It's good to have boys trying to get your attention, but keeping it is even better.

Anyway, as I got enough of hiding behind a counter, I decided to go exploring SL. So the rest of this entry won't be about Hogwarts. I put on my adult av and took the Hogwarts Express. I know where all the noobs are hiding! In Hawaii! No kidding... I went to this place called Hawaii, recommanded by the one and only Natalia Zelmanov. She stated that there was those free hut you could rent (for free) for a week. As I love to decorate, I decided to go see if any huts were free. Not only were they all occupied, but it seemed like noobs were living there, as loads of the furnis were freebies I have somewhere, lost in my messy inventory. As I was wondering if a hut was free or not, this... guy came and asked me if I needed help. I have nothing against noobs, especially guys as I know it's hard to get decent freebies for dudes. But he just had the most horrific hair... not the normal noob hair... He had a spike of hair coming out of his forehead and the rest of his hair was just... weird. I couldn't help but giggle as I was seeing the contrast between me (who was dressed in dollarbies and freebies from head to toe) and him. I think I should write a notecard with all the website talking about how to start in SL and where to find freebies... good quality freebies and give them to any noob who looks like he might need it. I didn't start as the cute AV I'm right now, but someone helped me. Just ask for help and you'll probably get it. Even if I discovered lately (on my own) that some shops were giving out freebies the shop owner had made, I had a good start with the more classical freebies.

Tip: Go to Japanese sims. Always loads of good quality freebies.

I'm not usually criticizing noobs, as I know I had system hair and ok clothes when I arrived. But this guy just suprised me. Never thought someone could grow a spike of hair in the middle of the forehead. I had to restrain myself from taking a pic and sending it to the fashion police of SL. Next time you meet someone that is looking nice and his hanging around a noob area like Noob Island, ask them if they can give you tips and places to go to look nice.

Omg... never thought I would write a post on "How to avoid looking noob (or just weird) in SL when you are on a thight budget?"

Oh well, as long as Prof H doesn't know where I am, I'm fine.

Goodnight, and when you need help, ask, don't be shy.
